COVID-19 cases continue to rise amid rainy season, health officials warn

Most of the new cases have been reported in Bangkok, Chon Buri, Nonthaburi, Nakhon Ratchasima, and Saraburi.
The department noted that respiratory diseases such as COVID-19 and influenza are spreading rapidly during the rainy season, as people cough, sneeze, or come into contact with infected individuals or contaminated surfaces.
The public is advised to take precautions, especially children, the elderly, pregnant women, and those with underlying health conditions.
People are also encouraged to wash their hands frequently and wear face masks in crowded places.
