（圖／翻攝自臉書 @ponshukan.yuzawa）距離東京一個多小時新幹線車程的「新瀉」是日本最重要的稻米產地之一，除了有品質最高的魚沼越光米外，冬冷夏涼的氣候讓新瀉的釀酒廠與酒窖數位居日本第一，也因此過去被稱為「越後」的新潟所製造生產的清酒（日本酒）在市場上佔有相當重要的地位，如果拿葡萄酒來比喻，「越後製造」就像法國的勃艮第或義大利的托斯卡尼一樣。

位於新幹線新潟站、長岡站、越後湯澤站等三處停靠站附近，有間以各種清酒及名產、伴手禮著名的清酒博物館，如果到了新瀉不知道要買哪一款酒回家，只要來到「柑酒館PONSHU館」就可以用一個銅板的價格嘗試體驗品嚐美酒的樂趣。

門口站了位喝醉上班族人形的「柑酒館PONSHU館」有點像是商店街，不同分區有各自有不同經營的主題，例如有販售越光米製的炸彈飯糰、以麴為主的冰淇淋及飲料、販賣越後魚沼當地的米糕、酒糕、大米等新潟特產或是目前因應疫情暫停營業的清酒館，其中「唎酒番所」一整面牆排滿了超過百種的清酒，光是數量就叫人驚豔不已！

從一整排的品酒機中挑選出想喝的種類後，只要投入代幣、放入酒杯，再按下黃色按鈕，機器就會嘩啦嘩啦的把酒杯倒滿，品酒機上還仔細介紹了每款清酒的濃度、酸度與風味；大部份的清酒只需要一枚代幣就能試飲，不過也有幾款較特殊的清酒需要2-3枚代幣才能試喝，500日圓最多可以品嚐到五種不同的酒款。

試飲完如果需要來點鹹味平衡一下口感，旁邊就有種類豐富的鹽巴與味增區可以消除口中前一杯清酒留下的「餘韻」，也可以沾取些許鹽巴搭配清酒一起飲用。
