Paetongtarn, 38, was admitted to hospital after returning from a two-day visit to Cambodia on Thursday evening.
After a thorough medical examination, doctors confirmed her condition had improved and allowed her to rest at home and would return to duties on Monday.
She had returned from Phnom Penh yesterday afternoon and had a slight fever. She returned to her residence, but the fever worsened, so she was taken to hospital at around 9pm, where doctors admitted her overnight for observation.
Her husband, Pidok Sooksawas, posted a picture of his wife resting in a hospital bed, with the caption: “You listens to no one. Your body has warned you that you couldn’t take it."
Her schedule for today had included a meeting with Chris Feng, president of Sea Limited, a Singapore based consumer internet company, at 10am, followed by a meeting with Sir Tony Blair, former UK prime minister and executive chairman of the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI), at 1pm.
She was also due to chair a Police Commission meeting at 3pm.
