A total of 58 hotels across Thailand have been awarded the coveted Michelin Key, a new accolade recognizing exceptional hospitality experiences and which marks a significant milestone for Thailand's tourism industry.

The Michelin Key awards are divided into three categories, similar to the Michelin stars for restaurants: 8 hotels received the highest honor of 3 Michelin Keys, 19 were awarded 2 Michelin Keys, and 31 received 1 Michelin Key.

These establishments were carefully selected by anonymous Michelin inspectors who evaluated their unique offerings, service, and overall guest experience.

The Michelin Key is designed to set a new benchmark for travelers seeking extraordinary hotel experiences.

Awarded hotels provide exceptional service, distinctive character, warm hospitality, and outstanding quality.

Hotels with 1 Michelin Key offer a unique, personalized stay with exceptional value; those with 2 Michelin Keys are recognized for delivering an impressive experience with a unique identity and strong connection to local culture.

Hotels awarded 3 Michelin Keys provide an unforgettable, luxurious experience, setting a new standard for hospitality.

The 58 recognized hotels showcase the diversity of Thailand's hospitality sector, ranging from luxury international chains to boutique city hotels and serene retreats.

Notable recipients include the Amanpuri in Phuket and the Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai.

Bangkok dominates the awards with 19 Michelin Key hotels, making up nearly one-third of all award-winning establishments.

Among these, 8 hotels have been awarded 3 Michelin Keys, including the Mandarin Oriental and The Siam.

Other notable recipients include the Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai, Soneva Kiri in Trat province, Samujana Villas in Surat Thani, Phulay Bay, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Krabi province, Amanpuri in Phuket, and Keemala in Phuket.

A complete list of all Michelin Key hotels is available on the Michelin Guide website.

Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the Michelin Guides, expressed his excitement about the awards, saying, “We are thrilled to announce the first-ever Michelin Key awards in Thailand.”

“These 58 hotels invite travelers to experience the beauty, warmth, and unique hospitality of Thailand at its best."

Elisabeth Boucher, the Guide’s Communications Director, noted that the Michelin Key awards cover a wide range of budgets and lifestyles and are not limited to ultra-luxury establishments.

The guide currently features approximately 5,000 hotels worldwide.

Travelers can now easily book these award-winning hotels through the Michelin Guide's digital platform.

The Michelin Guide also plans to expand its Michelin Key awards to other countries, with upcoming announcements for the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

The Michelin Key awards were first announced in France earlier this year.

In Asia, Japan was the first country to receive the Michelin Key list.
