起飛30秒就出事！印度航空787客機墜毀，機上241人罹難、1名英國男乘客幸運生還
印度航空（Air India）一架飛往英國倫敦的航班驚傳失事，機上200多名乘客與機組人員生死未卜。
當地媒體報導，這架波音787-8客機在起飛後不久，曾向航空交通管制中心（Air Traffic Control, ATC）發出「求救訊號」（May day）。印度民航總局（DGCA）稍早證實，AI 171航班的副機師確實曾發出「求救訊號」，但此後飛機便再無任何回應。根據第一線警消回報，這架787客機墜毀地點，正好落在阿默達巴德機場附近一棟宿舍的建築，目前已知該棟宿舍至少20至30名住戶、幾乎都是當地醫學院和年輕醫師不幸喪命。外媒引述失事地點警方消息，目前已尋獲至少204具遺體，並從墜機現場送往鄰近醫院，稍早第一線警消也向媒體表示，這架印度航空AI 171航班、機上242人推斷「全數罹難」。

但是BBC隨後引述當地警局消息，稱242名機上成員當中，有1人幸運生還。這名大難不死的乘客，是坐在11A位置的40歲男子拉梅許（Vishwash Kumar Ramesh），他與哥哥一起搭上這班班機，可惜坐在旁邊的哥哥，卻沒能逃過死劫。印度媒體在醫院訪問到意識清醒的他，拉梅許回憶表示，印度航空這架客機起飛後，僅30秒鐘時間，就開始下墜且出現火苗和煙霧。
目前掌握的消息顯示，失事航班編號AI 171、從印度阿默達巴德（Ahmedabad）出發，前往英國倫敦的越洋航班，疑似在起飛後不久、就在當地帕特爾國際機場（Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport）附近住宅區內墜毀。
至於機上乘客國籍分佈，目前已知169名印度國民、53名英國公民、7名葡萄牙人以及1名加拿大人。

Air India's Boeing 171 aircraft crashed in Meghnagar IGP complex in Ahmedabad city.
The plane took off at 1.38 pm and crashed into a building at 1.40 pm. There were about 200 passengers and cargo on board the plane.

根據航空追蹤系統紀錄，這個航班是由波音787-8型廣體客機（ Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner）執飛，機上搭載230名乘客與12名機組人員（10名空服+2名機師）。
