（圖／翻攝自diggerland.com）說到主題樂園，印象中會浮現不少以電影、動畫為主軸的遊樂體驗，不過在英國有個園區裡全是挖土機、推土鏟車等重型機械設備，以「建築工地」為主題的樂園，在這裡不僅可以開著挖土機挖泥填土，還能坐上長臂吊車，體驗升上高空的刺激感，其中除了有幾個人工打造的區域外，其他皆是塵土飛揚的工地，只有在這裡才能體驗到操作真正挖土機、施工機具的樂趣。

這座名叫「Diggerland」的工地主題樂園，經營者Hugh Edeleanu是歐洲最大專業重機械租賃供應商的主席，為了滿足小朋友對工地大型機具的好奇，於是創辦了這座以建設機械為基調的主題樂園，目前在英國的Kent肯特郡、Yorkshire約克郡、Durham達拉謨郡、Devon德文郡與美國紐澤西的West Berlin西柏林等地皆設有據點。

在園區中有20多款不同類型，適合所有年齡層但必須受到身高限制的設施，包括了可以坐上巨型挖土機操作改裝後的巨大鏟子，或是駕著車有如在泥地中高速過彎，營造出媲美沙漠四驅車的刺激效果。

還有適合80公分以下的小朋友，由打扮成「工人」叔叔、阿姨所駕駛的遊覽小火車，無論是大人小孩都可以在Diggerland體驗到駕駛不同工程機械與實際動工的樂趣。
