《Rape Day》爭議延燒，英議員要求全面審查Steam
從過去的禁止，直到現在的成人遊戲全面解禁，Valve 在這項新的業務決策著實令 Steam 平台陷入兩難的道德爭議。日前因以強暴殺人犯作為主角的《Rape Day》遊戲下架爭議延燒，已經令海外政府開始檢視 Steam 平台的做法。
英國蘇格蘭民族黨（Scottish National Party）議員 Hannah Bardell 昨日在議會嚴正批判《Rape Day》的遊戲內容不當，並呼籲英國政府全面檢討 Steam 遊戲平台上架策略。同時，她在推特強調：「英國政府是時候該對這些令人憎惡的內容進行全面審查，強暴與性暴力絕不應該是『遊戲』。」

不僅是議員本身，曾經發起「I Just Froze」活動的英國蘇格蘭性侵害防治中心（Rape Crisis Scotland），同樣在推特疾呼，認為不管是遊戲還是現實也好，都有同樣的女性面臨無情的性騷擾和虐待，並強調任何重視公平和平等的社會都不能容忍將強暴正常化的遊戲。
We have to ask ourselves what kind of society we want to live in. Games like this cannot be tolerated in any society that values fairness and equality. This normalisation of rape is incompatible with a society where women and girls can live free from fear and violence.

雖然 Valve 已表態不會讓《Rape Day》在 Steam 上架，只不過遊戲爭議性的內容已在網路發酵，也讓 Steam 解禁成人遊戲政策開放之後再受到外界的高度關注，先前美國反性剝削中心就因 Steam 解禁多數成人遊戲上架而大力譴責。
無論如何，《Rape Day》已確定不可能上架 Steam，也已從 Steam 商店頁面移除，至於許多玩家擔心 Valve 是否會受外界壓力重新考慮成人遊戲的解禁政策，這一切恐怕還是未知數。
