匈牙利執政黨支持總檢察長提名人選

布達佩斯，11月2日（路透）— 匈牙利總理彼得・馬札爾週一表示，執政的「蒂薩黨」（Tisza）將通過總統提名的總檢察長人選。這是馬札爾在4月選舉勝利後，推動重塑公共機構的重要一步。BUDAPEST, Nov 2 (Reuters) - Hungary's governing Tisza party will approve the president's nominee for chief prosecutor, Prime Minister Peter Magyar said on Monday, a significant step in Magyar's efforts to reshape public institutions after his April election victory.

任命新任總檢察長，是馬札爾反貪腐行動的核心；他已將這項行動稱為「煉獄行動」（Operation Purgatory）。Appointing a new chief prosecutor is central to Magyar's anti-corruption drive which he has dubbed "Operation Purgatory".

自5月掌權以來，馬札爾所屬的中間偏右蒂薩黨，已撤換前總理維克多・奧班（Viktor Orban）拔擢至關鍵公職的數名人物，包括總檢察長、憲法法院院長、媒體主管機關首長，以及匈牙利總統。Since taking power in May, Magyar's centre-right Tisza party has removed several figures promoted by former Prime Minister Viktor Orban to key public positions, including the chief prosecutor, the head of the constitutional court, the head of the media authority, and Hungary's president.

前總檢察長加博爾・巴林特・納吉（Gabor Balint Nagy）已於7月提出辭呈。Former chief prosecutor Gabor Balint Nagy submitted his resignation in July.

馬札爾週一在Facebook發文表示，他所屬政黨的國會黨團將通過總統安德拉什・鮑考（Andras Baka）新提名的總檢察長人選彼得・費耶什（Peter Fejes）。Magyar said in a Facebook post on Monday that his party's parliamentary group would approve President Andras Baka's new nominee for chief prosecutor, Peter Fejes.

現年66歲的費耶什職涯全在檢察體系任職，去年退休。他專精刑法、歐盟法與體育法。Fejes, 66, retired last year after a career spent entirely in the prosecution service. He specialises in criminal law, European Union law and sports law.

總檢察長任期9年，由國會選出，須獲得國會三分之二多數支持；馬札爾所屬政黨可單獨達到這項門檻。The chief prosecutor is elected to a nine-year term and requires the support of a two-thirds majority in parliament, a threshold Magyar's party can meet on its own.

蒂薩黨先前已否決鮑考提出的首名總檢察長人選。Tisza had rejected Baka's first nominee for chief prosecutor.

在馬札爾主政下，匈牙利也已加入歐洲檢察官辦公室（European Public Prosecutor's Office），並成立國家資產保護與追回辦公室（National Asset Protection and Recovery Office），調查奧班16年執政期間涉嫌貪腐的案件；相關指控遭這名前總理否認。Under Magyar, Hungary has also joined the European Public Prosecutor's Office and set up the National Asset Protection and Recovery Office to investigate alleged corruption during Orban's 16-year rule, allegations the former prime minister has denied.

馬札爾表示，貪腐問題，包括濫用公共資金，近年來已讓匈牙利人損失相當於國內生產毛額（GDP）8%至10%的金額。Magyar has said corruption, including misuse ⁠of public funds, has cost Hungarians 8% to 10% of gross domestic product in recent years.

奧班政府的兩名前部長，以及前央行總裁喬治・馬托爾奇（Gyorgy Matolcsy），目前都因貪腐指控遭到逮捕。Two former ministers from Orban's government and former central bank chief Gyorgy Matolcsy are currently under arrest over graft accusations.
