Hugo九年前在紐約收容所看到這隻黑白貓迷時，就覺得牠是他命中注定的貓咪，於是將牠帶回家，並稱牠為「公主殿下」。Cheeto為Hugo的生活帶來許多改變，並且激勵他繼續為生活努力。
