每年在德國・科隆的Koelnmesse舉辦的世界最大級遊戲展會「gamescom」
今年將於2026年8月26日(三)至30日(日)為期5天舉辦。
而總展示面積233,000平方公尺的廣大會場展示空間，首次宣布全數攤位已預約額滿。
共有來自67個國家、1,600家以上企業參展，其中70%為非德國企業。
亦設置了47個國家館，展現了該活動的國際影響力。
此外，一般民眾媒體日票券的Wildcard以及2026年8月29日(六)的門票已售罄，可見來場者的熱情之高。
gamescom作為遊戲產業核心平台的重要性，今後預計將持續提升。

gamescom 2026也為無法前往科隆的遊戲粉絲規劃了多種直播。
其中一項「gamescom Opening Night Live」將於8月26日(三)晚間8點(當地時間)起直播。
擔任「FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION」遊戲總監的濱口直樹(@nhamaguc)預計將登台，該作的新資訊備受期待。
此外還有許多遊戲的資訊預計公開，是必須關注的直播。
此外，由IGN製作的獨立遊戲秀「gamescom awesome indies」預計於2026年8月27日(五)晚間8點(當地時間)起直播。

在gamescom 2026開幕前的2026年8月24日(一)、25日(二)，將舉辦官方開發者會議「gamescom dev」，超過380位講者將參與。
「Tencent Games」業務開發總監Amir Satvat與「Subnautica 2」創意總監Anthony Gallegos等人的主題演講為焦點，也將設有探討遊戲製作與AI的場次。
2026年8月27日(四)將舉辦「gamescom congress」，聚焦於數位化世界中遊戲的可能性。
商業、政治、科學、教育、媒體、遊戲開發、社會的代表們將齊聚一堂，法蘭克－瓦爾特・施泰因邁爾德國聯邦總統將宣布開幕。
預計將針對「Playing field democracy」如何展現遊戲對社會共生的助益，以及「The Games Effect」探討遊戲在生活與經濟各領域的正面影響等議題進行討論。
此外，同樣於2026年8月27日(四)也將舉辦「gamescom invest circle」。
