「找工作」用 search 或 find 都不對！證照、經歷、生涯規畫的英文怎麼說？

以下幾個英文單字，幫助你求職、求學更順利：
找工作 job hunting
「找工作」的英文要用 job hunting ，hunt 除了「狩獵」之外，還有「搜索、尋找」的意思。另外，職場中尋找優秀高階主管或經理人的行為「獵人頭」則是由英文 headhunting 直翻的。
find 在英文裡有「已經找到了」的意思，通常會用 found 來表示已經找到工作了；另外，job search 的意思是「任何關於找工作的網站」。

履歷表 résumé
résumé 一詞源自法文，原本是「摘要，總結」的意思，後來轉變為英文裡的「履歷」，指某人職涯上的簡短摘要，通常用於美加地區。在歐洲則用 curriculum vitae（CV）表示履歷，這個字源自拉丁文，是「一個人的人生進程」的意思。

Probation 在職場中使用，意思是「試用期」；不過在法律上，指的是「緩刑期」，也是新聞英文常用字。其他相關單字：聘書 letter of appointment、離職 departure。

新人訓練 new employee orientation
新人訓練的英文為 new employee orientation ，常縮寫表示為 NEO 。一般企業會為錄取的新人安排新人訓練，藉以幫助他們盡快了解工作內容及作業流程。其他相關字彙：員工訓練 employee training 、新生訓練 student orientation 。

競業條款 non-compete clause
競業條款的英文是 non-compete clause，又可以寫作 non-compete agreement、non-competition clause 或 non-competition agreement。
雇主為了保障自身權益，和員工簽下競業條款（non-compete clause），可以限制離職員工兩年內不得從事相同產業，避免自身的經營祕訣被對方利用來和自己競爭。不過，競業條款的約定不能對員工過度限制，損害他的基本生存權益。其他相關單字：合約 contract 、可強制執行的 enforceable 、限制 restriction 。

保密協定 non-disclosure agreement
保密協定 non-disclosure agreement 又可稱為confidentiality agreement，簡稱為 NDA。員工簽下保密協定後，在約定期間內，不得任意公開公司的營業祕密，否則會受到違約懲處。保密協定的英文。其他相關單字：保密的 confidential、所有權的 / 專利的 proprietary、商業祕密 trade secret。
