FOX 美劇《越獄風雲》（Prison Break）在 2005 年開播後轟動全美，四季完結後，時隔多年集結原班人馬於 2017 年推出第五季。雖然全新一季評價未如前幾季來的優秀，但依舊吸引了大批觀眾收看。
電視網在今年初也提起了再推第六季的可能性。然而，男主角「麥可」溫特沃思米勒（Wentworth Miller）今日在 Instagram 發表聲明，宣布正式退出《越獄風雲》，並坦言自己不想再飾演異性戀角色。
現年 48 歲的溫特沃思米勒多年前已公開出櫃，自此，他就因為同志的身分遭到部分網友的攻擊。
在 Instagram 上的貼文中，他透露自己收到一些不友善的私訊，也看到了讓他感到不愉快的留言，但他並不是擔心自己，而是為來到他 Instagram 的酷兒族群感到擔憂，不想讓他們遭受到這種霸凌行為。
接著，他寫下：「我正式退出《越獄風雲》。」
他進一步解釋，退出的原因與社交媒體上發生的事情無關，儘管這已經成為了一大問題，「我只是不想再飾演異性戀角色了。」認為異性戀角色的故事已經充分地呈現在觀眾面前。
他繼續寫下：「所以，麥可不會再現身了。如果你是這部劇的粉絲，期待著新季數到來的話…我能理解這個消息是會讓人失望的，我很抱歉。」

Their stories have been told (and told). So. No more Michael. If you were a fan of the show, hoping for additional seasons… I understand this is disappointing. I'm sorry.
