Thai embassy on standby, ministry urges caution over Venezuela crisis
The Thai Embassy in Peru, which also covers to Venezuela, has advised Thai citizens to assess the situation carefully and to reconsider non-essential travel to areas affected by the United States’ strikes on Venezuela’s capital, Caracas, on January 3.
The embassy said it is maintaining close coordination with Thai nationals in Venezuela and stands ready to provide necessary assistance.
The advisory comes as Thailand continues to monitor growing tensions between the United States and Venezuela.
In its statement, Thailand urged all parties to resolve the conflict peacefully, with full respect for the UN Charter and international law. The government called for maximum restraint to avoid further escalation, while emphasising the need to protect civilians and respect for the will of the Venezuelan people.
