PM urges all Thais to pay tribute to the late Princess Bajrakitiyabha

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul urged all Thai people today to pay tribute to the late Princess Bajrakitiyabha, saying that there are no words that can fully express the feelings of the Thai people because her passing is not just a bad news, but also a sadness that is beyond measure.

The prime minister called a special Cabinet meeting at Government House today, to discuss government actions related to the passing of the Princess Bajrakitiyabha and Royal funeral ceremonies. He also ordered the Thai national flag to be flown at half-mast at all government offices, including Government House.

All Cabinet ministers and their staff were seen in black attire.

Meanwhile, the Bureau of the Royal Household announced today that His Majesty the King is graciously allowing members of the public to pay tribute to the late Princess, in front of her portrait at the Sala Sahathai Samakhom in the Grand Palace, tomorrow from 8.30am until noon and on Sunday from 8.30am to 4pm.

Members of the public can also pay tribute to the late Princess at the Piman Rattaya Throne Hall in the Grand Palace from June 27, 9am to 11pm every day, following completion of the 15-day Royal merit-making ceremony.

After 100 days of Royal merit-making, members of the Privy Council, the Cabinet, members of the extended royal family, the public and private sectors, state enterprises and the general public are allowed to hold merit-making activities and prayers in tribute to the late Princess.
