Bt1.7bn budgeted for launch of 50-50 tourism promotion program

Thai citizens interested in receiving 50% discounts on hotel rooms and food spending can apply by registering via the website https://tourismthailand.org/home from July 1st until October 31st.
Under the program, successful applicants will be entitled to a 50% discount on hotel rooms on week days and 40% discount during weekends, not exceeding 3,000 baht per night, for up to five nights, with three nights being spent in hotels in primary cities and two nights in secondary cities.
They will also be entitled to 50% discounts on food, travel, shopping in O-Top and souvenir outlets, as well as spa and massage services located within 100km of their hotels. They will be issued with coupons by their hotels on daily basis, to be used for these services. The coupons will automatically expire at midnight of the day of their issuance. The maximum value of the coupons is 500 baht for each applicant.
There are a total of 500,000 “entitlements” to be distributed under the program.
Only Thai nationals who are at least 18-year-old and who have ID cards are eligible to apply for the “entitlements”, which will be valid from July 4th until October 31st.
