The Army Military Band will participate in the "Virginia International Military Music Festival" to be held in Norfolk, Virginia from April 16th to 19th (local time) to perform traditional Korean music and K-pop representative songs.

According to the Ministry of National Defense, the Army Military Musical Instrument Battalion will participate in the Virginia International Military Music Festival for the first time in eight years since 2018 with the Army Taekwondo Demonstration Team and Chungnam National University Dance Company.

Major performances included "Arirang," a magnificent and lyrical melody of "Beautiful Country," and "Golden," the theme song of the animated film "K-Pop Demon Hunters," which swept the world.

The Virginia International Military Music Festival, which began in 1997, is considered the largest military music festival in the United States, and this year, the event will be held especially by the United States and major allies to mark the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.

At this year's event, more than 800 performers from five countries, including Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Canada, will gather to celebrate the founding of the United States through music and performances and reflect on the value of the founding spirit.
