法國財長：放慢AI發展的呼籲有利於美國產業領導者

巴黎，9月16日（路透社）——法國財政部長羅蘭・勒斯屈爾（Roland Lescure）週三表示，放慢人工智慧（AI）發展的呼籲，是在服務美國這個產業領導者的利益。他並表示，法國與歐洲必須加快AI使用，才能掌控相關風險。PARIS, Sept 16 (Reuters) - Calls to slow down the development of AI serve the interests of U.S. leaders in the sector, French Finance Minister Roland Lescure said on Wednesday, adding that France and Europe must accelerate AI usage so that they can control the risks.

勒斯屈爾向路透社表示：「我很清楚看到，現在要求放慢腳步的呼聲，來自那些名列前茅的人……讓所有落後於他們的人放慢速度，好讓他們繼續保持第一名，我很清楚看到他們的自身利益。」"I can clearly see that the calls to slow down are now coming from those at the top of the class … Making everyone behind them slow down so they can stay in first place, I can clearly see their self-interest," Lescure told Reuters.

法國新創遊說組織 France Digitale 在巴黎舉辦活動，勒斯屈爾在場邊被問及AI安全相關討論時補充說：「我希望我們在法國和整個歐洲加大努力，成為領導者，並且能夠管理風險。」"I want us to step up our efforts in France and across Europe, to become a leader and to be able to manage the risks," Lescure added when asked about the discussion around AI safety on the sidelines of an event organised in Paris by French startup lobby, France Digitale.

Anthropic研究人員上週表示，快速進展的AI可能在不久的將來導致人類滅絕，他們的說法引發討論；兩名執行長的發言則進一步加深了這場辯論。Their statements added to the debate prompted by Anthropic researchers who said last week that rapidly progressing AI could lead to the extinction of the human race in the near future.

勒斯屈爾被問及AI對人類的風險時表示：「我對斬釘截鐵的說法一向抱持警戒。」他並補充說：「斬釘截鐵的說法，有時候到頭來可能成為逃避集體責任的一種方式。」"I am always wary of definitive statements," said Lescure when asked about the risks to humanity from AI, adding: "Definitive statements can sometimes in the end serve as a way to escape collective responsibility".
