德國檢方表示，這名男子名為弗拉迪米爾・Z.，是一名水肺潛水員，也是策劃爆炸行動的一個團體成員；爆炸發生在俄羅斯當年稍早全面入侵烏克蘭之後。German prosecutors have said the man — identified as Vladimir Z. — was a scuba diver who was part of a group behind the blasts, which followed Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine earlier that year.

德國法院將此案視為屬於德國管轄，因為受損管線的終點位於德國梅克倫堡-西波美拉尼亞邦，且管線遭破壞影響了德國的能源安全與國內安全。German courts have treated the case as falling within their jurisdiction because the damaged pipelines terminate in the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, and their destruction affected Germany's energy security and internal safety.

弗拉迪米爾・Z.於8月在克羅埃西亞海濱城市普拉的一間飯店，依歐洲逮捕令遭逮捕。他的律師表示，他否認涉案。Vladimir Z. was arrested in August in a hotel in the Croatian coastal city of Pula on a ⁠European arrest warrant. He has denied any involvement, his lawyers have said.

此案另一名嫌疑人、烏克蘭前軍官瑟希・K.（Serhii K.），7月遭檢方起訴，被控代表烏克蘭國家實體策劃這起爆炸案。Another suspect in the case, former Ukrainian army officer Serhii K., was charged by prosecutors in July with orchestrating the blasts while acting on behalf of Ukrainian state entities.

該名男子於2025年8月在義大利被捕，並於11月移交德國。他也否認參與發生在丹麥波恩霍爾姆島附近的爆炸案。That man — who was arrested in Italy in August 2025 and transferred to Germany in November — has also denied any involvement in the blasts near the Danish island of Bornholm.

普拉縣法院週四證實已作出裁定，但表示在當事各方決定是否上訴之前，無法透露細節。The County Court in Pula confirmed on Thursday it had made a ruling, but said it could not go into details until the parties had decided whether to appeal.
