The special compounds in cinnamon are able to help reduce levels of total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and triglycerides, while HDL cholesterol remains stable. Cinnamon has also been shown to reduce high blood pressure, which is another threat for causing heart disease or a stroke. For lunch today my dad made Moroccan Meatballs in tomato sauce. A delicious traditional and simple dish made from scratch. Ingredients: Minced beef meet (preferably low fat), tomatoes, tomato puree, 2 eggs, onions, garlic, coriander, cinnamon, parsley, paprika, ginger, salt and pepper. Recipe: Mix the meat with blended onions, coriander, parsley, coriander, season with salt , pepper, and paprika. Roll it up in small meat balls. Peel the tomatoes and chop them in small pieces. Heat a casserole with olive oil, add minced onions let them brown. Then add the peeled tomatoes let is simmer and add a little water, tomato puree and garlic. Let it simmer until the tomatoes have dissolved. Season with ginger, salt, paprika, cinnamon and pepper. Add the meatballs. When the meat is cooked add 2 (or more eggs) and let them harden in the sauce.
