As Iran employs a 'swarm drone' tactic by deploying thousands of 'Shahed' explosive attack drones, neighboring Middle Eastern countries and the United States are requesting assistance from Ukraine, which has the most real combat experience in drone warfare among Western nations.

Russia has attacked Ukraine using tens of thousands of Iranian-made Shahed drones over the past four years since its invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

The British daily Financial Times reported on the 5th that the United States and some Gulf countries are in discussions with Ukraine to introduce the 'Sting,' a drone interception system developed by Ukraine. On the same day, the U.S. military-focused media outlet 'Defense Scoop' reported that personnel from the U.S. Department of War's drone response task force visited Ukraine just before the start of the "Epic Fury" operation against Iran to review drone countermeasures.

The issue lies in the fact that Iran's Shahed drones, which cost around $30,000 per unit, must be intercepted by Patriot missiles priced in the millions of dollars per round. While drones are easy to mass-produce, only around 600 Patriot interception missiles are produced annually.
