強生稱不應暫停AI發展，否則將讓中國取得競爭優勢

華盛頓，9月15日（路透社）——美國眾議院議長麥克・強生（Mike Johnson）週二表示，不能暫停人工智慧（AI）發展，否則將把競爭優勢拱手讓給中國；他並稱，AI公司可以自我規範。WASHINGTON, Sept 15 (Reuters) - U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson said on Tuesday there cannot be a moratorium on artificial intelligence development without losing the competitive edge to China and that AI companies can regulate themselves.

強生告訴記者：「他們可以自我規範。他們不需要政府告訴他們放慢腳步。如果他們想放慢，就應該放慢。」他說：「我們不能暫停AI發展，好嗎？因為那樣我們就會把優勢輸給中國，而這對每個美國家庭都有嚴重的國家安全意涵。」"They can self-regulate. They don't need the government to tell them to slow it down. If they want to slow it down, they should," Johnson told reporters. "We cannot have a moratorium on the development of AI, Ok? Because then we will lose our edge to China, and that has serious national security implications for every American family."

強生表示，他確信美國總統川普與中國國家主席習近平本月稍晚在華盛頓會晤時，AI將會是討論議題之一。Johnson said he was sure AI would be a topic of discussion between President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping when they meet in Washington later this month.

強生表示，為AI設下防護規範的作法必須平衡且審慎。The approach to putting guardrails on AI has to be done in a balanced and thoughtful way, Johnson said.
