All about White Day 關於白色情人節

To understand how White Day came to be, we should first learn about how Valentine’s Day is celebrated in Japan. For the Japanese, Valentine’s Day is a holiday for girls to give chocolates to the boys they like. White Day is, in contrast, when boys give gifts to girls on March 14, exactly a month after Valentine’s Day. The origins of the day go back to the late 1970s and can be traced to a confectionery company, Ishimura Manseido.

要了解白色情人節是怎麼來的，我們首先該了解情人節在日本是如何慶祝的。對日本人來說，情人節是女孩送巧克力給喜歡的男孩的節日。相對地，白色情人節是男孩在三月十四日送禮物給女孩的日子，正好是情人節的一個月後。這一天的起源要追溯到 1970 年代後期的一家糖果公司石村萬盛堂。
