印尼部長稱野火可能延燒至11月初

Raja Juli warned at the beginning of September that El Niño-linked dry weather would peak this month, complicating efforts to contain the seasonal fire outbreaks.

國營媒體安塔拉通訊社（Antara）週三引述拉賈・朱利說法報導，乾燥天氣預料將至少再持續一個半月。State media outlet Antara cited Raja Juli as saying on Wednesday that the dry weather is expected to continue for at least another one and a half months.

他說，印尼氣象機構已將雨季開始時間的預測修正為10月底或11月初，比先前估計晚了一個月。He said the country's weather agency had revised its forecast for the start of the rainy season to late October or early November, a month later than previously estimated.

在7個受影響省份，與野火相關的呼吸道疾病病例從9月1日至9月9日增加一倍多，達到113,336例；其中西加里曼丹居民是受有害火災排放影響最嚴重的族群之一。Cases of wildfire-related respiratory illness in seven affected provinces more than doubled to 113,336 from September 1 to September 9, with residents of West Kalimantan among the people suffering the worst from hazardous fire emissions.

跨境霾害也導致鄰國馬來西亞與新加坡出現不健康的空氣狀況。Transboundary haze has also caused unhealthy air conditions in neighbouring Malaysia and Singapore.

印尼已加強滅火行動，出動50多架飛機執行灑水滅火與人工增雨作業。日本也派出3架CH-47「契努克」直升機協助對抗火勢。Indonesia has stepped up its firefighting efforts, deploying more than 50 aircraft to conduct water bombing and cloud seeding operations. Japan has also sent three CH-47 Chinooks to help battle the fires.
