印度「蟑螂」運動稱若選舉委員會主席48小時內不辭職將發起抗議

孟買，9月24日（路透社）——印度「蟑螂」青年運動領袖週四表示，如果印度首席選舉官未在48小時內辭職，他們將發起全國性抗議。此前一篇報導稱，他因選民名冊變更一事遭到副手質疑。MUMBAI, Sept 24 (Reuters) - The leaders of India's "cockroach" youth movement said on Thursday that they would launch nationwide protests if India's chief election officer does not resign within 48 hours, after a newspaper report said he had been questioned by his deputies over changes to voter lists.

反對黨表示，這些名冊遭到操弄，以圖讓印度總理莫迪（Narendra Modi）所屬的印度人民黨（Bharatiya Janata Party，BJP）受益。Opposition parties have said the lists have been manipulated to benefit Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

《印度快報》（Indian Express）週三報導，兩名選舉委員在10個月內至少14次向首席選舉委員賈內什・庫馬爾（Gyanesh Kumar）提出疑問或表達關切，多半與去年開始的選民名冊更新程序有關。On Wednesday, the Indian Express newspaper said two election commissioners had raised questions or expressed concern at least 14 times in 10 months - mostly in connection with the process of updating voter lists that began last year - with Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

這篇報導引發政治風暴，反對黨再次抨擊選舉委員會，指控該委員會有所偏袒。選舉委員會否認這些說法。The report sparked a political furore, with opposition parties launching a fresh attack on the election commission that they have accused of being biased. The panel has denied these claims.

庫馬爾是3名選舉委員之一，因資歷最深而擔任首席選舉委員。Kumar is one of three election commissioners and is the chief as he is the most senior.
