僅使用單名的法烏齊說，他在馬辰搜救指揮中心等待4天，盼著當局承諾提供搜救進展，但他的希望已開始消退。Fauzi, who goes by one name, said that after four days of waiting at the rescue command centre in Banjarmasin for promised updates about the search, his hopes have begun to fade.

馬辰搜救機構負責人伊・普圖・蘇達亞納（I Putu Sudayana）告訴路透社，翻覆船隻附近浪高達2.5公尺（8.2英尺），且風勢強勁，因此海岸防衛隊與海軍無法展開水下搜救行動。The Coast Guard and Navy have been unable to launch underwater search-and-rescue operations because of waves of up to 2.5 metres (8.2 feet) and strong winds near the capsized vessel, I Putu Sudayana, the head of Banjarmasin's rescue agency, told Reuters.
