9月16日（路透社）——三名地方消息人士告訴路透社，蘇丹西科爾多凡州一座金礦週日坍塌，造成至少60人死亡；一個地方人權組織則表示，部分礦工可能仍在地下生還，並呼籲立即展開救援。Sept 16 (Reuters) - At least 60 people were killed in a gold mine collapse in Sudan's West Kordofan state on Sunday, three local sources told Reuters, while a local rights group said some miners could still be alive underground and appealed for urgent rescue efforts.

監測組織科爾多凡觀察組織（Kordofan Observatory）週三表示，位於努胡德（al-Nuhud）西北方富賈（Fouja）地區的扎拉礦場（al-Zara mine）發生一連串相鄰礦井坍塌，超過70名手工礦工死亡或失蹤。The Kordofan Observatory monitoring group said on Wednesday that more than 70 artisanal miners were dead or missing after a series of adjoining mining shafts collapsed at the al-Zara mine in the Fouja area, northwest of al-Nuhud.

該組織引述目擊者說法表示，一名倖存者週二脫困後通報，仍有其他人受困地下且還活著。該組織表示，目前沒有專業救援隊介入，脆弱鬆軟的砂質地層也阻礙居民使用簡易工具救出礦工並尋回遺體。Citing eyewitness accounts, the group said a survivor emerged on Tuesday and reported that others were still alive underground. It said no specialised rescue teams had intervened and fragile, sandy ground was hampering residents' attempts to rescue miners and recover bodies using basic tools.

三名地方消息人士週三接受路透社訪問時表示，這處偏遠礦場死傷慘重，是因為缺乏安全程序與救援設備。The three local sources, speaking to Reuters on Wednesday, attributed the high death toll at the remote site to a lack of safety procedures and rescue equipment.

採金是準軍事組織快速支援部隊（Rapid Support Forces）的重要收入來源；該部隊掌控這個州。Gold mining is a key source of revenue for the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, who control the state.
