中國最高外交官敦促伊朗、美國保持克制並恢復談判

北京，9月16日（路透社）——中國外交部長王毅週三在北京告訴伊朗外長，中國鼓勵伊朗與美國保持理性、克制，回到雙方6月簽署的臨時和平協議，並「開展實質性磋商」。BEIJING, Sept 16 (Reuters) - China encourages Iran and the U.S. to remain rational, exercise restraint, return to the interim peace deal they signed in June and "engage in substantive consultations," Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told his Iranian counterpart in Beijing on Wednesday.

兩名外交官會談之際，距離中國國家主席習近平與美國總統川普預計在華府會晤還有一週。The talks between the two diplomats came a week ahead of an expected meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington.

北京是伊朗石油的主要買家，先前已多次強調有必要恢復荷姆茲海峽正常且安全的航行，但對於德黑蘭威脅航運一事，基本上仍避免直接提出挑戰。Beijing, the main buyer of Iran's oil, had repeatedly stressed the need to restore normal and safe navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, but has largely refrained from directly challenging Tehran's threats to shipping.

王毅週三表示：「當前局勢再次表明，中東現有安全架構並不充分，需要改革並強化。」"The current situation once again demonstrates that the existing security architecture in the Middle East is inadequate and needs to be reformed and strengthened," Wang said on Wednesday.

他補充說，中國願意在該地區促進和平、公平與正義，而中國對伊朗政策一貫且穩定。China stands ready to promote peace, fairness and justice in the region, and its policy toward Iran has remained consistent and stable, he added.
