Seals are among the most adorable creatures on Earth. They can be found on every continent but prefer colder climates to warmer ones. Just as their scientific name suggests, these animals are “fin-footed,” meaning they have feet that are shaped like fins. But seals are fascinating creatures for more reasons than their cuteness and feet. Seals are part of a group known as pinnipeds, of which there are 33 known species. These include walruses, eared seals like fur seals and sea lions, and earless seals, also known as true seals

海豹是世界上最可愛的生物之一。牠們遍佈於各洲，但比起較溫暖的氣候，牠們偏好更寒冷的氣候。就如牠們的學名所示，這些是「鰭足」動物，意思是牠們有形似鰭的腳。但海豹之所以成為迷人的生物並不僅僅是因為牠們的可愛和鰭足而已。海豹隸屬一種被稱為鰭足類動物的群體，其下有三十三種已知物種。這些包括海象、海獅科動物（eared seal，如海狗和海獅），以及海豹科動物（earless seal，又被稱為 true seal）。
