喬治亞前安全首長涉賄案遭判刑13年

根據總檢察長辦公室，提比里斯一家法院認定利盧阿什維利多起收賄罪名成立，並認定他從在喬治亞境內運作的詐騙呼叫中心獲利，總計收受130萬美元。A court in Tbilisi found Liluashvili guilty of multiple cases of taking bribes, as well as benefiting from scam call centres run from inside Georgia, receiving $1.3 million in total, according to the prosecutor general's office.

Interpress報導，他否認有罪。He denied guilt, Interpress reported.

喬治亞當局在對政府菁英成員提起訴訟的同時，也在打壓反對派人物和政黨。政府正尋求直接禁止3個主要反對黨。Georgian authorities are pursuing prosecutions against members of the government elite at the same time as they are cracking down on opposition figures and political parties. The government is seeking to ban the three main opposition parties outright.

自2024年10月國會選舉結果出爐、喬治亞之夢黨贏得另一個任期以來，喬治亞民眾一直定期舉行街頭示威。Georgians have staged regular street demonstrations since a parliamentary election in October 2024 resulted in Georgian Dream clinching another term in office.
