美國民主黨人批評川習峰會鋪張卻缺乏實質內容

華盛頓9月24日（路透社）——美國參議院民主黨人週四批評總統川普與中國國家主席習近平的峰會，稱這場會議在人工智慧、貿易、關鍵礦產及對台武器等議題上重排場、輕實質。WASHINGTON, Sept 24 (Reuters) - US Senate Democrats criticized President Donald Trump's summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday, saying it prioritized pageantry over substance on issues such as artificial intelligence, trade, critical minerals and weapons for Taiwan.

川普在白宮接待習近平，舉行一場充滿外交禮遇的國事峰會，但沒有跡象顯示閉門會談在雙方分歧議題上取得突破。Trump welcomed Xi to the White House for a state summit heavy on diplomatic honors, but with no sign that closed-door talks yielded breakthroughs on the issues dividing them.

在一份由民主黨黨團47名成員中至少19人簽署、並由路透社看到的聲明中，民主黨人呼籲川普立即交付國會已批准給台灣、總額逾150億美元的安全援助，包括13億美元資金及140億美元軍售案；他們也呼籲川普推動人權，並促成遭錯誤拘押的美國人獲釋。In a statement signed by at least 19 of the 47 members of the Democratic caucus and seen by Reuters, the Democrats called on Trump to immediately deliver more than $15 billion in security assistance — $1.3 billion in funds and a $14 billion arms sale package — that Congress has approved for Taiwan and to push for human rights and the release of wrongfully detained Americans.

川普的一些共和黨同僚也藉這場峰會之際，呼籲川普釋出給台灣的資金。Some of Trump's fellow Republicans also marked the summit by calling on Trump to release the funds for Taiwan.

民主黨人也批評川普放寬對中國銷售高階晶片的限制，並表示美中關稅休兵延長，並未充分處理中國掌握全球稀土精煉等供應鏈問題。The Democrats also criticized Trump's loosening of restrictions on high-end chip sales to China, and said that the extension of the US-China tariff truce does not sufficiently address supply chain issues such as China's hold on global rare earth refining.

聲明指出：「唯有持續投資於我們自身的優勢、與盟友密切協調，並堅定捍衛我們的民主價值，我們才能成功與中國競爭。」"We will compete successfully with China only through sustained investment in our own strengths, close coordination with allies, and an unwavering defense of our democratic values," the statement said.
