Once a child soldier during Sierra Leone’s civil war, Ishmeal Charles now leads humanitarian efforts with compassion and purpose. Through education, forgiveness, and service — and with the support of Tzu Chi — he helps rebuild lives across communities still healing from conflict, poverty, and disease.
