Twitter 爆料：有平價版 AirPods Max，售價 349 美元
蘋果（Apple）旗下首款頭戴式耳機AirPods Max 才剛推出後不久，就有傳言指稱，官方已在打造平價款的AirPods Max。Twitter 帳號@LeaksApplePro 近期就發文指出，蘋果將會推出便宜版的 AirPods Max，只不過目前尚未有確切的推出時程；平價版的 AirPods Max 訂價為349 美元（約台幣9,800 元），不過為了降低成本，因此耳機外殼將採用塑料材質。
根據外媒報導指出，平價版的AirPods Max 將會是Sony WH-1000XM4、Bose QuietComfort 35 II 的競爭產品；但是為了讓耳機成本更低廉，蘋果屆時不得不調整一些設計，像是耳機外殼改採塑膠製造。

不過改採塑膠材質並不是件壞事，除了可讓耳機的售價降低，還可進一步讓裝置重量降低，且事實上現在就有部分用戶批評，AirPods Max 太重。
至於平價版 AirPods Max 功能會有哪些變化？對此有外媒認為，蘋果應該還是會保留主動降噪、空間音訊、透明模式等功能，且耳機續航力應該也會維持在20 小時左右，只不過因為是平價版耳機，因此這些功能可能或多或少都會有些變化。
