In his Facebook post today, Piyabutr, former secretary-general of the now defunct Future Forward party (predecessor of the Move Forward and People’s parties), also pointed out that the Pheu Thai-led government has not fulfilled its election promises over the past two years.
He said that dissolution of the House would provide an opportunity for the people to decide which parties they would like to be in a new government and would prevent the political situation reaching an impasse, which could provide the pretext for a coup.
“The prime minister should show leadership and dissolve the House. Nobody has a bigger say than the people,” said Piyabutr.
The prime minister berated Hun Sen today for leaking their private conversation on social media, saying she will never talk with him by phone again.
Hun Sen, in his Facebook post today, has threatened to leak the full recording of the conversation between him and Paetongtarn on Sunday night, which lasted 17 minutes and six seconds.
