Donald Duck Bay in Similan lands 10th among world’s best beaches
Kuerk Bay, also known as “Donald Duck Bay,” in Mu Ko Similan National Park, has been ranked 10th on the list of the world’s 50 best beaches for 2026.
Paradise Beach and Freedom Beach are ranked 23rd and 27th, respectively.
The rankings were compiled by about 1,000 experts in tourism and related industries, based on numerous criteria, including natural beauty, ecological systems, peaceful atmosphere, unique identity, and visitor numbers.
Kuerk Bay is located on Island No. 8, which hosts the protection unit of the national park.
At the northern end of the bay stands the “Hin Rua Bai,” or sailboat-shaped rock formation, the most popular spot for visitors. Other highlights include the white sandy beach and clear turquoise waters.
