She claimed she had to take matters into her own hands.
Posting a video clip and photos of the snakes crawling through the elevator area, Onginn, a Facebook user, stated that she had previously complained to the condo management about the animals, but no action had been taken.
She wrote that she had endured constant barking, bad cat odors, ticks, and fleas for many years, despite the condominium's no-pet policy.
“Since you keep dogs and cats, I’ll bring snakes—let’s turn this condo into a wildlife sanctuary,” she wrote.
Her post went viral, garnering 2,800 comments and over 17,000 shares, while a repost by another Facebook user attracted 3,700 comments and about 14,000 shares.
The clips sparked mixed reactions from netizens, who split into two camps: Team Snake and Team Dog.
Supporters of the snakes argued that no one should have to tolerate constant barking and unpleasant odors in a residential building.
One popular comment read, “Those who haven’t experienced this won’t understand.”
Another noted, “The condominium doesn’t allow pets, but many tenants kept dogs and cats and let them be noisy. Since no one took action, she had to do something.”
The hashtag #TeamSnake also gained traction, with many liking and echoing the sentiment. Some supporters admitted, however, that her method was extreme—calling it “brutal but satisfying.”
Others criticized the release of snakes as irresponsible and potentially dangerous. “What if the snakes attacked someone? Who would be held accountable?” one user asked.
Another pointed out that dogs are pets, but snakes are not, adding, “This is terrifying.”
One netizen said he nearly had a heart attack upon seeing the size of the snakes, while another remarked it was lucky no one opened the elevator doors during filming.
Some initially speculated that the footage was AI-generated due to its surreal nature.
In the end, both tenants reportedly met to resolve the issue. The condominium’s management fined each of them 10,000 baht.
