FIFA officially announces LISA as headliner for World Cup 2026 opening ceremony

FIFA has officially announced that Thai K-pop sensation Lalisa "Lisa" Manobal will be a headline performer at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup 2026 in the United States.

According to the FIFA’s website today, the ceremony, to be held in the Los Angeles Stadium, will launch a historic summer of football driven by culture, energy and the unifying power of the sport.

The BLACKPINK member joins a star-studded lineup of global superstars, including Katy Perry, Future, Anitta, Rema and Tyla. FIFA stated that these artists will be the primary performers for the celebration in Los Angeles, with additional world-renowned acts to be announced at a later date.

Together, the performers will create the official soundscape for the 2026 tournament through a spectacular show designed to reflect the grandeur, ambition and cultural influence of the competition.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino remarked that the Los Angeles ceremony will demonstrate the "extraordinary greatness" of the upcoming World Cup.
