Lim Kimya, 73, was gunned down near the Bowonniwet Vihara Temple in Bangkok by a lone gunman as he arrived on a bus from Cambodia’s Battambang province with his wife.
The suspected gunman, a former Thai Marine, was subsequently arrested by Cambodian officials in Battambang and deported to Thailand to stand trial for murder.
Sereepisuth claims in his complaint to Pol Gen Kitrat Phanphet, that the male voice heard on a leaked audio clip, released by Al Jazeera and allegedly ordering the killing of Lim Kimya, was that of Hun Sen.
He also claims that another Cambodian opposition member, Porn Panna—who has sought refuge in Thailand since 2022—was assaulted by three Cambodians in Rayong province.
