Free shuttle buses and Chao Phraya River traffic restrictions are being deployed today as Their Majesties the King and Queen travel on the Royal Barge Procession for the Royal Kathina Robe Offering Ceremony at Arun Ratchawararam Temple.

The Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) is operating a special free shuttle bus service from 11am until all spectators have cleared the area.

The service is for members of the public wishing to view the historic procession or connect to ferry services at Payap Pier.

Buses designated for the route will display signs reading "Shuttle Bus" or "Loop Service - Payap Pier."

The shuttle follows a comprehensive looping route, serving major transport nodes and viewing areas along both sides of the river.

The route originates at Payap Pier, travelling via Nakhon Chai Si, Sam Sen, Sukhothai, Nakhon Ratchasima, Ratchawithi, Sam Sen, Phra Sumen, Din So, Ratchadamnoen Klang, Na Phra That, Chan, Maharaj, and Rajinee Pier. It continues across Phra Phutta Yodfa (Memorial) Bridge via Sanam Chai, Phra Phiphit, Phahurat and Tri Phet Roads, passing Prajadhipok, Ban Khaek Intersection, Itsaraphap, Wang Doem, and Arun Amarin Roads. It then crosses Somdet Phra Pin Klao and Arun Amarin Bridges to Charan Sanitwong, Bang Phlat Intersection, Ratchawithi Road, and Krung Thon (Sang Hi) Bridge, returning via Khao, Sukhothai, Sam Sen, and Nakhon Chai Si Roads back to Payap Pier.

The Marine Department has issued a water traffic control advisory for the Chao Phraya River as follows:

-Controlled Zone: All vessel traffic is restricted between Krung Thon Bridge and Phra Pok Klao Bridge starting from 11am until the completion of the royal mission.

-Barges & Cargo Vessels: Cargo barges and vessels carrying dangerous goods are required to avoid the river section between the Rama VII Bridge and Taksin Bridge starting from 9.30am.

-Express & Electric Boats: Public express boat services operating from the north will terminate at Payap Pier, while southern services will terminate at Ratchawong Pier.
