House passes final reading of 2025 fiscal budget bill
After a three-day lacklustre debate, last night the House of Representatives passed the final reading of the 3.7 trillion baht budget bill for the 2025 fiscal year by 309 to 155, with four abstentions and no vote.
Speaking on behalf of the government, Deputy Prime Minister Suriya Juangroongruangkit thanked the House for the approval of the bill which, he said, is an important tool for the government to use to drive its policies and development projects.
He also promised that the government will consider the recommendations made by MPs during the debate.
The budget bill will now be forwarded to the Senate, which will have 20 days to complete its deliberations, which are expected to start next week.
