Thailand mourns passing of Pope Francis

Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra has expressed profound sorrow and extended deepest condolences on the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis.
She described Pope Francis as “a true beacon of humanity.”
On her Facebook page, Paetongtarn wrote, “His unwavering compassion, moral courage, noble humility, and tireless pursuit of peace inspired millions of people across faiths and nations, May His Holiness rest in eternal peace.”
Pope Francis visited Bangkok from November 20-23, 2019, where he met with the Supreme Patriarch at Wat Ratchabophit Sathit Maha Simaram Temple and had a private audience with His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn.
