Thailand’s Children’s Day 2026
Thailand’s national Children’s Day is held every year on the second Saturday of January. Many celebrations took place across Thailand.
At Thai PBS
The Thai Children’s Day 2026 event at Thai PBS (on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road) was full of fun and energy. This year’s event was held under the theme Thai PBS kids’, power for the world(ไทยพีบีเอส พลังเล็ก พลังโลก).
Many families brought their young ones to take part in the activities, raising huge smiles.
At Government House
Many children and parents queued in front of Government House from early morning to join the annual Children’s day event.
When the gates opened at 8am, the first to enter and sit in the Prime Minister’s chair was a one-year-old girl named ‘Chompoo’ from Samut Prakan. She came with her grandmother and older brother, who became the second to sit in the chair.
Replicas of large dinosaurs were also on display.
The Royal Thai Air Force
Tens of thousands people flocked today to Bangkok’s Don Mueang airport, which contains a military airbase, to watch a Children’s Day air display by the Royal Thai Force’s F-16 and Gripen fighter jets.
The show featured acrobatic fighter jet displays and an AT-6 aircraft.
Air Force Commander-in-Chief, ACM Seksan Kantha, told the media that he was very proud and thrilled by the unusually large crowd of families who turned up to attend the air display.
He said that about 100,000 people signed up to attend the event, not counting many others who just walked in without pre-registration.
He also said that he hopes that this outpouring of patriotism and appreciation for the important role played by the fighter jets in the armed conflicts with Cambodia, in July and December, will be sustained over coming years.
The Royal Thai Army Headquarters
Children were excited to witness a special showcase of military dogs, dubbed as the K9 four-legged warriors.
At the Children’s Museum, Chatuchak
Children’s Day activities were held under the theme of Let’s Game On, taking kids back to classic 90s games, with colourful zones, great memories and plenty of prizes.
