Divers have found the decomposed body of an 18-year-old Thai male, who fell from a jet ski into the lake at Srinagarind Dam in Kanchanaburi Province on October 24th.
About 20 teams of divers from various regions were mobilised for another search for the body of Nawin Natedecha from Bangkok, who fell from a jet ski being driven by another man on the lake in Si Sawat district.
Several previous searches had been mounted, but all failed to locate the body, which was believed to have sunk to the bottom of the lake.
The massive search today (Saturday) was led by an officer from the Royal Thai Navy and used GPS tracking to give each team a specific area to search.
The bottom of the lake is sedimentary and littered with felled trees, which were left uncollected when the dam was built.
At about 1.33pm today, the search teams reported that they had found a body, believed to be Nawin, lying at a depth of about 60 metres.
Divers are trying to retrieve the body for return to his family.
