List of foreign nationals rescued from scam centres in Myanmar sent to Thailand

The list includes 6,716 men and 425 women. They are from:

· Vietnam - 572
· India - 526
· Ethiopia - 430
· Indonesia - 238
· Philippines - 127
· Pakistan - 78
· Malaysia - 70
· Kenya - 64
· Taiwan - 25
· Nepal - 17
· South Africa - 17
· Uganda - 13
· Unspecified - 9
· Sri Lanka - 8
· Uzbekistan - 8
· Nigeria - 7
· Ghana - 6
· Bangladesh - 6
· Cameroon - 6
· Namibia - 4
· Rwanda - 4
· Tunisia - 3
· Chad - 2
· Laos - 1
· Romania - 1
· Algeria - 1
· Singapore - 1
Separate lists of the various nationals were also sent by the Myanmar government to their respective embassies.
Informed Thai sources say that China will send chartered flights to Mae Sot airport to repatriate a second cohort of 900 of their citizens. The first cohort of 621 were repatriated by air last week.
The sources also said that 101 of the 260 people of 20 nationalities, who were sent across the border into Phop Phra district in Thailand’s Tak province on February 12th, have already been repatriated, leaving behind 159.
Those still waiting include 138 Ethiopians, 15 Malaysians and six Ugandans.
