King and Queen of Bhutan attend royal rites for late Thai Princess
King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan attended a royal merit-making ceremony in Piman Rattaya Throne Hall in the Grand Palace today, marking the seventh day since the passing of HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati.
Their Majesties the King and Queen of Thailand presided over the ceremony for the Princess, the eldest daughter of the King.
The Bhutanese royal couple had previously offered deep condolences and held national memorial prayers for the late Princess.
The Bhutanese monarchs praised the Princess's lifelong devotion to public service, the advancement of justice and the welfare of women and children.
