คุณพรชัยเล่าถึงการจัดตั้งคณะทำงาน Pink Economy เพื่อสนับสนุนให้ประเทศไทยได้เป็นเจ้าภาพ WorldPride 2030 พร้อมวาดภาพให้ไทยเป็นมหาอำนาจด้าน LGBTQ+ และ Safe Haven ที่ผู้คนจากทั่วโลกไว้วางใจ เขาเชื่อว่าสิทธิและเศรษฐกิจต้องเดินไปด้วยกัน ไม่ใช่เพียง Rainbow Washing และย้ำว่าการจัด WorldPride โดยไม่มีกฎหมายคุ้มครองความเท่าเทียม ก็ไม่ต่างจาก “มือถือสากปากถือศีล”

ความฝันของเขาคือการได้กลับมาเป็นคนธรรมดา และเดินในขบวน WorldPride Parade ด้วยความภาคภูมิใจ การเป็นเจ้าภาพ WorldPride 2030 จึงต้องเป็นมากกว่างานเฉลิมฉลอง แต่ต้องเป็นแรงผลักกฎหมายความเท่าเทียม และทิ้งมรดกทางนโยบายที่ทำให้ LGBTQ+ แข็งแกร่งขึ้น บนเส้นทางของโปรเจกต์ 100 Voices Road To Bangkok WorldPride 2030

Meet Pornchai Wittayalertpun, Senator and Chair of the Pink Economy Working Group, who works to strengthen the LGBTQ+ community through rights, economic opportunity, and meaningful participation in society.

Pornchai shares how he set up the Pink Economy Working Group to support Thailand’s bid to host WorldPride 2030, with a vision of Thailand as an LGBTQ+ powerhouse and a safe haven trusted by people around the world. He believes rights and the economy must move forward together, not as rainbow washing, and stresses that hosting WorldPride without laws that protect equality would be pure hypocrisy.

His dream is to return as an ordinary citizen and walk proudly in the WorldPride Parade. Hosting WorldPride 2030 must be more than a celebration: it should drive equality laws forward and leave a policy legacy that strengthens LGBTQ+ people, as part of the 100 Voices Road To Bangkok WorldPride 2030 project.
