Cyber police cautions against fake online agencies offering to sell pet photos

According to a post on the cyber police’s Facebook page, scammers create fake online social media profiles claiming that they have channels to sell pet photos and lure pet owners into registering with them.
Victims are required to fill out forms that include their personal information which may be sold on dark markets.
They are also instructed to transfer fees to open user accounts with the scammers, under the premise that when the photos are sold, commission fees will be transferred to these accounts.
However, the victims are unable to withdraw the commission fees ‘transferred’ to their accounts.
People are advised to note that the suspicious pages were created recently and their administrators are based outside Thailand. These fraudulent pages also frequently change their names.
