Black Panther สุดเจ๋ง! – ซีเอ็นเอ็น รายงานโผรายชื่อผู้เข้าชิงรางวัลออสการ์ ครั้งที่ 91 ประจำปี 2019 ซึ่งภาพยนตร์เรื่อง Roma จากค่ายเน็ตฟลิกซ์ ฝีมือผู้กำกับฯ อัลฟอนโซ กัวรอน ที่พาย้อนกลับไปในช่วงวัยหนุ่มของเขาซึ่งใช้ชีวิตอยู่ในเม็กซิโก และเรื่อง The Favorite ภาพยนตร์แนวพีเรียดดราม่าคอมเมดี้ นำโด่งเข้าชิงมากที่สุดเรื่องละ 10 รางวัล เท่าๆ กัน

ส่วนเรื่อง Black Panther ก็สร้างประวัติศาสตร์หน้าใหม่ด้วยการเป็นภาพยนตร์แนวซูเปอร์ฮีโร่เรื่องแรกที่ได้เข้าชิงรางวัลภาพยนตร์ยอดเยี่ยม ซึ่งหนังทำเงินจากค่ายมาร์เวลเรื่องนี้ ได้ลงชิงชัยกับ BlacKkKlansman, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Favourite, Green Book, Roma, A Star Is Born และ Vice

โดยไม่แน่ชัดว่าใครจะมาวินสำหรับสาขารางวัลภาพยนตร์ยอดเยี่ยม หรือใครจะมาเป็นพิธีกรในงาน เรียกได้ว่าออสการ์ปีนี้มาแบบคาดเดาไม่ได้จริงๆ
ส่วนคนที่จับตาว่ามีความเป็นไปได้ที่จะเห็นการชิงชัยกันระหว่าง เกล็นน์ โคลส จากภาพยนตร์เรื่อง The Wife และ เลดี้ กาก้า จากเรื่อง A Star Is Born ในสาขานักแสดงนำหญิงยอดเยี่ยม งานนี้ก็สมใจกันไปเรียบร้อย ทั้งคู่ได้เข้าชิงในสาขารางวัลดังกล่าวร่วมกับอีก 3 สาว ได้แก่ ยาลิตซา อาพาลิซิโอ จากเรื่อง Roma, โอลิเวีย โคลแมน จากเรื่อง The Favourite และ เมลิสซา แม็กคาร์ธี จากเรื่อง Can You Ever Forgive Me?
