One dead, technician trapped in Chonburi service station blast

An explosion at a service station in Sri Racha district in Chon Buri province on Monday afternoon has left one person dead and another trapped under debris, drawing a major response from local emergency services.

The incident occurred at around 4pm at a service station located on Highway 331 in the Bo Win sub-district, according to reports from Fire & Rescue Thailand. First responders and relevant agencies were immediately dispatched to the scene to secure the area and initiate search operations.

Rescue workers are currently working against time to extricate the individual from the wreckage.

An investigation into the cause of the explosion is underway.
