RTARF recruits first female pilot
For the first time in history, the Royal Thai Survey Departmenthas recruited a female civilian pilot.
Nanticha Suphachai, 29, has become the first female civilian pilot to join the Royal Thai Survey Department.
She and 2nd Lt Yosanant Amasuwan, 26, are the two newest pilots to join the department, which looks after aerial ordinance surveys for the Royal Thai Armed Forces.
They will undergo additional programs, including flight training and jungle survival skills, for another three months before reporting for official duty.
Nanticha has a degree in architecture from Assumption University and has completed a civil pilot training program with Bangkok Air Aviation Academy in Sukhothai province.
