More cool weather forecast for tomorrow
The strong high pressure system is still covering the northern parts of Thailand and this will cause temperatures in northern, northeastern, central and eastern provinces to fall by another 1-2oC tomorrow, according to the Meteorological Department.
The department also advised people to take care of their health and to be wary of the danger posed by lighting fires in the dry weather conditions with strong breezes.
Minimum temperatures in the northern region are forecast to fall to 10-16oC in lowland areas and 2-10oC on mountain tops, with frost in some areas.
In the northeastern provinces, minimum temperatures are forecast to be between 8 and 15oC in low-lying areas and 6-10oC in the highlands. The region will also be breezy, with wind speeds ranging from 15-35kms per hour.
Minimum temperatures in the central region are forecast to drop to between 16 and 22oC. In Bangkok and its suburbs, it will remain cool and windy, with minimum temperatures forecast at between 17 and 20oC.
The eastern region remains cool and windy, with temperatures dropping by 1-2oC to a minimum of between 16 and 22oC.
The west coast of the southern region is warmer than the east coast, but sea conditions remain rough, with waves of 1-2 metres on the west coast and 2-3 metres high on the east coast.
